Studio Rodrigo • 2014-2022 • Brooklyn
Director of User Experience
A small design and product strategy consultancy, Studio Rodrigo collaborates with big and ambitious clients. The studio aims to design exciting products and services that make a difference.
As Director of UX, I’ve led multiple projects simultaneously, and supported the launch of dozens of products over 7+ years.
On the client side, I manage the relationship and help set product goals and strategies that drive success. I work closely with the product team and help define and visualize requirements. I guide copywriting and user testing work. I support the development process and QA.
Internally, I lead projects from concept to hand off. I set a plan, assign tasks to team members, and manage the project's progress. I provide UX and visual design direction to my team and peers in order to get the results we need. I mentor young designers and cultivate their personal and professional development. I help with internship programs and hiring decisions. I welcome and onboard new team members, plan social events, and check in on the well-being of my team.
I led Studio Rodrigo’s Comcast “My Account” team for 5 years, the studio’s longest engagement and biggest client. Our internal team of 3-5 designers and project managers was embedded within Comcast’s design division, collaborating with a big, multidisciplinary team.
Since the My Account re-architecture launch in 2016, the number of visits to the site went up more than 20% and Xfinity’s NPS has gone up more than 18 points. Customers are now solving their problems online instead of calling, leading to less time spent on the site. More users are paying online and signing up for Autopay, which translates to a revenue increase of tens of millions of dollars a month.
Notable projects: Xfinity My Account, Nutshell Parental Leave, Global Fund for Women, Swimm, Serial Season 3.

Huge's "UX School" initiative was an intensive, hands-on internship focused on research, product design, and user experience. In two small groups, we were guided towards creating a realistic prototype for a mobile application. My group's topic was pre-ordering pick-up from food trucks.

Design Intern
As an Industrial and product design intern at Kikkerland, I designed fun and whimsical products based on briefs. In my spare time, I audited Kikkerland's website and created a detailed document that included dev bugs, strategy recommendations, and feature suggestions, which they were happy to act on in order to improve their web experience.
IDEO • 2009 • NYC
Design Intern
During my junior year of Industrial Design School, I convinced IDEO’s New York office to take me on as their first intern. I was excited to join the team and help with client projects, doing UX/UI design, research, illustrations, and design concepts. I was lucky to be part of IDEO's internal "NYC 2030" project, helping with video production, special effects, sound, and post-production.

Boot camp class commander, Non-commissioned officer in charge of control and monitoring
I served as a class commander in Nitsanim boot camp in charge of training a class of more than 20 soldiers. Each boot-camp course ranged between 3 and 5 weeks depending on the needs of the unit. In addition to basic training, I also led the troops in bettering the base, doing DIY projects, painting murals, and lifting morale.
I then finished my service as a non-commissioned officer in the Bureau of the Major-General of Ground Forces Command in charge of control and monitoring - similar to project management.
Design Patent
Toy dreidel / spinning top
During Industrial Design school I designed an ornamental toy dreidel that celebrates Christmas when upright and Hanukkah when spinning upside down. It is a unique idea that I was able to patent.
